History

The architecture of Agrasen Ki Baoli is very interesting and unique in Delhi. There are 108 stairs leading to the stepwell. The step wells of Agra Senki Baori are divided into three levels. These arches acted as meeting places and provided coolness in the hot summer months. There is also a walkway to the room built in Baoli. However, for security reasons, the room is currently locked. Although it is a fairly old building, from an architectural point of view, this stepwell seems to have been rebuilt during the Tughlaq dynasty. This is based on a different architectural nuance from the oldest Baoli in Delhi. Baori is constructed by joining non-uniform stones called rubble masonry. Towards the west corner of the monument, there is also a small mosque in Agra Senki Baoli. It's in a dilapidated state, but one corner of the roof has collapsed, but it's worth a look.
